ASH WEDNESDAY 14th February
Art and Spirituality day. Arrive from 9.30 for coffee in church for 10am start, including shared buffet in the church room.

7pm United Benefice Service with Holy Communion and Ashing.
Led by Revd. Canon Nigel Marns and Revd. Kirsten Norfolk.

THURSDAY 15th February
This week sees the first of our Lent Lunches which continue for six weeks during Lent. Please come along for a simple meal and support this year's Lent Appeal Charities:

CHICKS - Cornwall Holidays for Inner City Kids at their centre in St Austell, which our rector Nigel stopped to visit when he passed during his pilgrimage walk through Cornwall. This centre provides holidays for children from cities and towns, including Penzance.
Also, Graham and Natalie Thomas who ran the Alive childrens' group in St. Piran's Hall, now working alongside Pastor Abraham who, having built a school in a poor area of Cambodia, now provides lunches for around 200 children and also Colin & Audrey Gibson working for the Christian Mission Society whom we sponsor with their work helping refugees in the Lebanon. We will be welcoming Colin and Audrey here in the summer to talk about their work.

The lunches are held in the Church Room on Thursdays between 12 and 2. Suggested donation is £5 for fresh homemade soup and bread, coffee and cake. All most welcome to come along.

CELTIC EVENING PRAYER will be held on Thursday afternoon at 4.30 – 5pm in the St Nicholas Chapel area of the church.

BREADLINE
Each Sunday during Lent, we would like to contribute different items to help with the cooked breakfasts that St. Petroc's Society who cook and serve breakfasts each morning at Breadline in Penzance. There is a list of items on the noticeboard at the back. Next Sunday's item to bring along is: tinned baked beans.

CORNISH CELTIC WAY
Copies of Revd's Nigel Marns' book, following his pilgrimage through Cornwall, are now on sale, cost £12. Please contact Dave on 711248 if you would like a copy.

SUNDAY 18th February
11.15am Sunday Service with Communion First Sunday of Lent

4pm Messy Church for children and their families in Marazion Community Centre.

TUESDAY 20th February
Prayer Time will be later in the morning at 10. 10-30am in St. Nicholas Chapel within the church. Please come and join in prayers for the new priest coming soon to our parish.

4.30pm Sacred Space for Lent at Perranuthnoe.

FILM NIGHT
Perranuthnoe Film Night is on Friday 23 February.  The film is "Victoria and Abdul" showing at 7pm in the Church Room.  Please call Paul on 01736 711734 to book your seat.
