Notices for week commencing Monday 4th September

TUESDAY 5th
Quiet Time 9.15 – 9.45am in St. Nicholas' Side Chapel within Church.

WEDNESDAY 6th
Quiz Night in the church room, hosted by Jenny.
7.30 for 8pm start.  All proceeds to church walls fund.

THURSDAY 7th
Morning 10.30 - 12 Drop in for coffee and a chat in the Church room

Afternoon 4.30 - 5pm Celtic Evening Prayer is outside at the Churchyard Prayer Circle at the rear of the church tower, weather permitting, otherwise in St. Nicholas' Chapel within Church.

Evening 7.30pm at Penlayree, call 711248. All welcome to join in the new study series starting, based on the 'wisdom' theme which will include looking at The Psalms, Proverbs and Ecclesiastes. It will also tie in with the sermons this coming term too, listed on the 'Wise Words' bookmarks given out in church and on the church noticeboard.

SUNDAY 10th September
Family Service at 11.15am led by Revd. David Stevens. If you have any Foodbank items, please bring them along for me to take on Tuesday.  There will be a Traidcraft Stall with items for sale or Jane will take any orders you wish to place. Jonathan and Emma will serve refreshments as the end of the service.

Cornish Celtic Way Walking Festival 26 August – 12 September
Get involved and walk the Cornish Celtic Way over the two weeks of our walking festival. There are eight guided walks. All but the final walk will begin at 10am. Everyone is welcome but under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.  We can arrange for drivers to have a lift back to the start to collect their cars. There are three walks this week – Mon 5th:   St. Germans to Seaton;   Tues 6th Llansalos to Polruan  and Thurs 7th:  Padstow to Constantine Bay.

Special Event: Saturday 16 September 12 noon - 4pm.
Big celebration to mark the completion of the renovation to the church walls. Canon Nigel will lead a service of thanks followed by a Fete with music and activities for children throughout the afternoon. To include lunch/afternoon tea in the church room, with Bring and Buy Stalls to raise money for church funds. Any items of plants, produce, books, bric a brac,  etc. can be left at the back of church or get in touch with Sue Hall (710352) or Dave (711248).
