Perranuthnoe Parish Church

Perranuthnoe Parish Church dating from 1160 and dedicated to St Piran & St Michael in 1400, is situated in the village of Perranuthnoe.

The Ecclesiastical Parish includes the whole villages of Perranuthnoe, Goldsithney and extends to the edge of St.Hilary and Rosudgeon, including the hamlets of Trenow, Trebarvah, Perran Downs and Trevean.

Perranuthnoe Parish Church falls within the Mounts Bay United Benefice, which also includes the Churches of Ludgvan, Marazion and St Hilary. Further details of the Benefice can be found by visiting the web site www.mountsbayub.com

Our Organist's Award

Our organist (and that of St Hilary and occasionally St Michael's Mount) , David Ball, has been awarded the prestigious Gorsedh Kernow Music Shield for outstanding services to music in Cornwall.
In presenting this award the following summary of David's musical past was mentioned:"David, a most dedicated musician, firstly as a very young treble in Perranuthnoe’s Church Choir. Studied Chemistry at York in 1965 where he also played the piano and had lessons on the organ in York Minster. In 1976 he became the Hon. Conductor of the Penzance Orchestral Society a position held for 20 years. Over a period of 28 years organised and held Music for a Summer’s Evening - proceeds from which were all donated to Charitable causes”.
