Lilian's Farewell

It is with mixed emotions that we have said farewell to the Revd. Lilian Hall as she leaves to take up her new post as Associate Priest in Loveden Deanery, Lincolnshire.
We here at Perranuthnoe Church were delighted that Lilian Celebrated Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve with us, a truly memorable occassion. At the end of this service we presented Lilian with a Glass Candle Holder and Card signed by Church and Community friends.

The text of that said at the presentation follows:

"Lilian as this is your last official service in the Benefice, we thank you for being with us on this very special night, and for the love, support and guidance that you have given to all of us over these past years.
And as small token of our thanks we would like you to accept this candle to remind you of Perranuthnoe Parish, its villages, its people and of course, its Church.
We hope that it will also remind you of the monthly Christian Meditation that you provided, which meant so much to those who attended.
So we wish you God Speed, and God’s blessings on your ministry in Lincolnshire – our loss will most certainly be their gain.
Thank you and God Bless"

The solid glass candle holder.
Lilian asked that the following thank you be conveyed:

"Please pass on to everyone at Perran my thanks for the lovely gift. I will think of you all whenever I use it, and how appropriate that lighting a candle will bring memories of the joy and love and fun I've enjoyed at Perran - and the peace too, particularly remembering the monthly meditation. With love Lilian"

The final celebrations and farewell took place during the Epiphany Service in Ludgvan CHurch and the "bring and share" lunch that followed in the Murley Hall.
