Good News Gang

The Good News Gang met in the Church Room on Thursday 3rd November to think about the celebration of 'Christ The King'. We began making a poster about all the things that we'd like to see in a King. The title is 'What sort of King do we want?'. The poster is now in the church. All our good news was told to each other and we sang some songs to practice for the Family Service on 20th November. The next GNG meeting will be on Thursday 1st December when we'll be icing the Christingle Christmas Cake

Bonfire Party

The Benefice Bonfire Party held at the Rectory in Ludgvan on the night of the 5th Nov was a great success and enjoyed by over 150 people. On arrival we were treated to delicious soup, warmed by the magnificent bonfire, and entertained by the music group.
Dom and David did a sterling job provided everyone with superb sausage hot dogs, and to ensure that we were even more fed, baked potatoes were also available.
Younger members were encouraged to follow the lantern trail and take part in the flag competition.
Then followed a spectacular firework display orchestrated professionally by Martyn the Master of Pyrotechnics !
And to top it all off, Hot Chocolate was provided to ward of the chills of the night - a really wonderful evening was had by all, thanks to Nigel and Penny and all who provided the food, music, built the bonfire and helped in so many ways.
